While Hollywood reels from the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman from an apparent drug overdose this weekend, Fox News reports that police investigators are trying to locate a video allegedly showing Philip Seymour Hoffman buying drugs from two men the night before his death.
According to a statement from a witness, the actor was last seen taking out a large amount of cash from his bank near his West Village apartment at about 8pm Saturday night. According to the witness, Hoffman paid the cash to two men to purchase what the witness believed could have been drugs. The man described Hoffman’s appearance as “very sweaty.”
The police continue to search for the two men who are believed to be drug dealers. The video has not been located as of Sunday night. The police will investigate if Hoffman may have injected a lethal batch of heroin that police say has been the cause of other deaths throughout the country. The video, if found, is believed to be the last time Hoffman was seen alive.
