Definition of Pathological Nystagmus

It is estimated that one in every 5,000 to 10,000 individuals has pathological nystagmus which is the involuntary movement of the eyes in any direction caused by issues in the central nervous system such as brain damage or epilepsy. Nystagmus can cause vision impairment but the severity can vary.
